I have been a Led Zeppelin fan since when I was 11 years old. My first Led Zeppelin album was Led Zeppelin II. I wish I was able to have seen them "live", but I was too young when they were on tour. Led Zeppelin came from the UK and brought their style of "rhythm and blues" and mixed it with a driving hard rock sound.

Tom from Trowbridge, England I'm 17 and just bought this album yesterday. Thank you is already one of my favourite Led Zeppelin songs; I didn't think it was humanly possible to write such a beautiful song! So, among other things, Led Zeppelin invented the power ballad (if you can call 'Thank You.

Led Zeppelin 1 reinvented the blues and was one of the best debut albums ever made. Led Zeppelin 2 was even better and I just love this album and every song on it. Led Zeppelin 3 was a surprise to me (not like the first two) and it takes repeated listens to appreciate how good it really is/5(1).

Listen to Led Zeppelin II and you hear foreigners—young British men—absorbing blues not as a progressive pose but arcane knowledge, as gnarled and misty as the Celtic touches of “Thank You” or the Tolkien-inspired visions Jimmy Page leveraged into “Ramble On”.

Oct 22,  · How ‘Led Zeppelin II’ Was Born “We had no time, and we had to write numbers in hotel rooms. By the time the album came out, I was really fed up with it. “Thank You,” a folk hymn.

Now, it’s official, and remastered Deluxe Editions of Led Zeppelin’s first three albums — I, II, III —include, for the first time, a second disc with unreleased live tracks, studio alternate tracks and outtakes. Longtime fans may frown at buying yet another remastered Led Zeppelin CD, but the bundled second disc is the bait that will.
